Tea Time Tink

It's a typical Monday here at my house...

  1. Get up
  2. Shower
  3. Get dressed
  4. Eat
  5. Get Faith ready for the day
  6. Errands for the house
  7. Errands for Faith
  8. Errands for myself
  9. Errands for Wayne
  10. Errands for the church
  11. Answer my text messages....
HOLY CRAPOLA!!!!

"Omg Wayne does this say what I think it says?!?!" "Yes it does!"
-Insert squealing conversation and wreckless driving on my part-

  1. Arrive at airport
  2. Squeal some more
  3. Cry
  4. Squeeze
  5. Squeal some more
Hunter is home! It is unreal how excited I was to see her. It has been way too long! Seriously like this is worse than London. Maybe it's because we had a whole year together between the two where Hunter was the one that I could go to keep me sane. She always gives level headed advice.

Anyhow, she is only here for two nights because they have tickets and passes to go see One Direction in Nashville. Regardless of the reason, I am so excited to see her office light lit up tonight. Seeing that sight really makes me happy. It also makes me realize that she inspires me to go after my dreams and passions. Hello she just got promoted at Disney!

Saying that I am proud of her doesn't cover it. Hunter deserves this more than anyone I know. Sure she has a few bucks in the bank but is that really so bad when she has a heart of gold? No it's not. It's one of those things where if you think she is bad, I don't care to know you.

That about sums up my day. It was a day filled with many blessings.

Growing Up

I never thought I would be this happy...

I have had miscarriage since getting married, but we are going stronger than ever. Wayne and I were both shocked to learn that I had a miscarriage. (Thanks body I blessed out Clear Blue for nothing.) We stood around a day talking about it and crying. But after a friend told me to give myself a just a day to complain and cry about it I felt better, because that's exactly what I did. (Thank you +Odette). I am only writing about it here to let people know. When people bring it up now I no longer hurt or pine for them to talk about it.

Wayne and I have moved on and we have fixed our focus on more important things. People think we are being insensitive to people who are infertile or have multiple miscarriage. What they don't understand is that this is my third one, but it is my first one with Wayne. So for what anyone knows I may not be able to give birth to children. But that isn't stopping me from being a mom.

This little one is what makes me world stop instantly. Cry, laugh, coo or say Mama... My world stops so I can listen more carefully. She is funny because she doesn't take to normal things. Her friend Eloise makes her giggle and laugh more and more. We love spending time with Aunt MayAn Uncle Fankie and Elloee.

As for me and Wayne. We have been decorating our new house and preparing for everything. We have two dates a week. It feels good to finally find where I belong. I no longer feel like an outsider trying to fit in with everyone. I just fit. Thank God for everything you have given me. I know how blessed I am.

I mean hello, Erica and Mary Ann have me cleaning house... Who would have thought?

Fresh Start Challenge Day 30: Then, Now, and Soon

Dear 15 year old self:

You really don't have it so bad. Sure you go to all girls school but it's not so bad I promise. We did good only inhaling once on the weed. Bad job on picking up smoking though. And eh on the drinking. It's not terrible like the smoking was on us.

Don't worry about the acne scars trust me there will be other scars to come that are far worse and way more embarrassing. I'm glad that you made it. And seriously grades don't make the person.

Dear me:

I know I give you a hard time on yourself all the time. But in order to be where we are now I had to be. We've come a long way in the past two years, got away from him, stop smoking, and got a better job. You have gotten over the miscarriage and the scariness of being alone. Now you are married, have a precious daughter and are building a new house. You exercise and attempt to eat right and you are finally hanging out with a good crowd.

Dear future me:

Well you have done the best you can. You've cried, screamed, and laughed. Don't stop dreaming and believing in things. Move on through life with the spirit of being 20 again. Yes you have fine lines and have babies and children that keep you from a nice clean house that was built 15 years ago but hey that's life. You wanted it like I want it. Lol just remember who to keep first and love Wayne with the rest of your heart.

Fresh Start Challenge Day 27: You Gotta Have Faith

First I have to explain about the above picture... She was chasing a duck after the reception today and all I could think about was something very inappropriate.... +Bridgitte will appreciate this.

WARNING LANGUAGE!

So at any rate Faith means the world to me. First God lives in my heart, Wayne is most of my heart, then there is Faith, and the rest of my family.

Faith was so unexpected in my life. She showed Wayne that he need to work in his life and not think he had everything made just because he was a preacher. He is interesting man and so his daughter is just as curious. I may be blood related to her in some way even though she is not mine but in my heart she is completely mine.

I love her curiosity and her little ways.

Fresh Start Challenge Day 13: Let's Go Fly A Kite

If you haven't figured it out, I'm a person that loves whimsical. Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland and the Tinkerbell Movies are my favorite Disney movies. Even if I don't like Tinkerbell the other fairies are amazing.

I desperately want a fairy garden. I am not one of these tree huggers that think carving a tree is mean. I would love to spend all day in the backyard building our fairy garden while drinking lemonade.

Also flying kites while on a picnic would be heaven.

Making our own water park in the backyard.

Anything as long as it isn't gaming or a movie or just simply going out to eat. That is so old and boring.

Fresh Start Challenge Day 9: Kiss the Girl

My last kiss was underwater. Wayne and I went to the dragon boat races. It was a beautiful day (yay tan!) And Wayne and them came in third again... for the second year in a row.

We took Faith to Odette's and Chris's house in Tuscaloosa. We loved having a mini vacation as a family. It was so much fun. We played Disney music the entire time dancing and laughing. Wayne and I flirted all day and it felt so amazing. It felt like we were teenagers splashing water on each other and when he pulled me under and started kissing me it was heaven.

I have to say that ranks better than kissing the rain.

Fresh Start Challenge Day 8: Who We Are

I rarely stress. Though I am not as laid back as +Carolina.

Wayne and I already have a house that is fully furnished and everything is perfect including two game rooms for him.

My past is finally gone. I only have to worry about memories.

My family is happy and so am I.

I have one heck of job. I do something I love, with people I love dearly.

So no I am not worrying about anything right now.

Sure Faith, my daughter just spent the night in the hospital but the good Lord made her better and we are home tonight.

Fresh Start Challenge Day 7: Filling In The Pieces

I was born to an Alabamian and a Louisianian.
I have one true real sibling.

My real parents died in a car crash when I was just 3 months old. My mom's sister adopted me and I never knew I had different parents besides my aunt and her first husband. I mean I look like my siblings and stuff except for my eyes.

I found out last year when things started to not measure up looking at different papers. My parents had always told me that my last name was unique to me. Other people had said I was adopted but I ignored them (I am not apologizing if you are reading this.) My aunt finally told me the truth that she wasn't my biological mom, but that I was her daughter. That shocked me bad enough.

What I was prepared was Wayne. Wayne came into my life almost as soon as I moved to Huntsville. He is our preacher and it was strange to have your preacher ask you out on a date but it went amazingly.

Then his world crashed. His ex girlfriend from the year before during his last year of college shows up with a baby girl. She's Wayne's. Tested and everything. I never saw the ex girlfriend when she dropped off Faith. She gave full custody right to Wayne. I fell absolutely in love with Faith. Faith started calling me mama right away.

Wayne and I broke up for stupid reasons and we have moved past that. Our little family was all and well until I was scanning important documents to put in a fire safe box. Erin Leblanc was listed as Faith's mother. I freaked out. I didn't tell anyone right away. I simply asked my aunt/mom could I have the papers about my family.

Faith's mom is my sister. My older sister. I asked Wayne if he knew. He said he was thinking possibly cousins but didn't want to cause trouble. But now we know that Faith is so close to being my daughter it's amazing! Faith is blood to me and that means amazing things for me.

Fresh Start Challenge Day 6: Fight!

Wayne and I have our ups and downs many times.

We had our disagreements about his past and mine.

Our biggest downfall was when my cousin wiggled her way between us.

We found our way back together.

I love how dorky he is. I love how devoted he is to all games and not just certain ones.

I love how passionate he is about his job. I mean we have the highest college age attendance in the southeast!

He is smile is adorable.

The food he makes is incredible.

Plus he is an awesome dad to Faith.

Fresh Start Challenge Day 3: Give and You Will Receive

I have a big heart so I love to donate my time and money to organizations that I really support. I think it's a shame that people feel like when they fall victim that certain organizations are just suppose to step in and help them. That's how it usually is but that's not how it should be.

  1. Being a Tri Delta I support St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. We were teamed up with them back in 1999. We have accomplished so much as a sorority to help and expand. I was supporting St. Jude's Hospital long before college. I love their personal address labels. I send 5% of each of my checks to them. I send it directly so that I know they get the full amount. Someone that I love dear has been three different times with his battle for cancer. He is a warrior and a very brave soul. All of these children deserve a chance to live normal lives.
  2. In high school I was given 3 rubber bracelets. I was told to wear them for dating abuse. I laughed and scoffed at it. Then I was the victim and getting out of a relationship like that isn't easy. People don't realize what a problem like that does to a person and how it really hurts the ones around them as well. It makes trusting someone in the future and those around them so much more difficult. So knowing that 1 out of every 3 young adult has been a victim of dating abuse is really huge. I wear my crocheted bracelets often or as an anklet. This became so important to me that I went to school to help children and teens with this problem. Today, I am counselor and I help and donate to the The Break The Cycle Movement.
  3. Another cause that is very dear to me is March of Dimes. I love to do their marches. It feels really good knowing that simply just walking helps so many moms. Each step is figurative step closer to finding out answers. It means so much to moms everywhere.
  4. And donate Toys for Tots. I start early in the year and find toys on sale. It makes it so much better than having to fight a mad rush. I love doing Angel Trees too from the Salvation Army.
  5. And lastly I help out with the soup kitchen. The one I serve does two meals a day and helps cloth and shelter the people who are homeless in the community. I help out twice a week.

Day 4: Religion

I don't get into the whole theological debates and neither does my future husband who is a pastor. We believe that God will see fit that those who sin will receive punishment (yes even ourselves.) Jesus died to save us but what good does that do you if you don't live by His Father's word?

I am a Christian and I'm proud. I will seek out the ones in need.

Day 1: My Relationship Status

I've been engaged since the new year. We've had some crazy stuff thrown our way. We are there for each other in ways that's hard to understand for other people. While most people turned their backs on Wayne during his hard time. I refused to do so no matter how bad he had hurt me. Now we are stronger than ever. So I'm happily taken for the long haul. Not to mention I get the cutest daughter of all time.
